This November, we concluded our Fall 2015 Apache Tree Giveaway where we distributed more than 1,500 trees to local non-profits, schools, faith-based groups, neighborhood associations, and government agencies. Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences received trees that are going to be planted by the students and used as a learning tool to discover more about the care and biology of trees. A non-profit in Muskogee called Neighbors for Neighborhoods will be planting the trees in their local neighborhoods. Other groups that received trees include Disney Elementary, Tam Bao Buddhist Temple, Joe Station Dog Park, and Partners for Heroes. We truly appreciate the Apache Corporation for funding this program and all of the groups that saw the need for trees and will be planting across eastern Oklahoma. If you are an individual that would like to receive a tree, come to EcoFest in spring 2016 and we will be there giving away trees! Look for details as we get closer to EcoFest.
