Our work wouldn’t be possible without the support of individuals and non-profits focused on enhancing Tulsa and a beautiful and healthy community. - Tulsa’s Metropolitan Environmental Trust (M.e.t) - The Metropolitan Environmental Trust coordinates and promotes recycling and environmental events in the metropolitan Tulsa area including Broken Arrow, Jenks, Glenpool, Sand Springs, Claremore, Collinsville, Coweta, Owasso and Bixby. The M.e.t. operates 11 recycling centers and three affiliate centers. They also conduct environmental events throughout the year to encourage, educate and facilitate recycling. - Ozone Alert! Tulsa - The “Ozone Season” for the Tulsa Area is from May 1st. through the end of September. During those months the weather conditions and hydrocarbon emissions combine in such a way that ground level ozone is formed. You might say it is “cooked.” Ground level ozone can reach levels deemed unsafe by the EPA. Please follow this link for more information: www.ozonealert.com
- Sustainable Tulsa - Sustainable Tulsa promotes responsible economic growth, environmental stewardship and quality of life for all. They provide the Tulsa area with educational opportunities and green strategies through our Greening the (918) public seminars, Tulsa Area Green Directory, Eat Local Bite of Tulsa, Fall Local Foods Dinner, website, partnerships and more.
