Thanks to the generosity of the Apache Foundation, we have another opportunity to facilitate a large shipment of 3-5 gallon trees (5-6 feet tall) for selected Green Country area agencies, non-profits and faith-based groups.  The intent is that these trees will be planted on your facility’s property* to help grow the urban forest and make a healthier, more beautiful and livable community.

If you are interested in applying, please note that priority will be given to those who apply by September 30, 2009.  Each agency can request up to 100 trees, and we will consider large requests for those with multiple or exceptionally large facilities.

We expect the tree shipment mid to late October ‘09.  Please bear in mind that while you may indicate a preference for certain types of trees, we may not be able to guarantee select species.  Requests will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis, so the earlier you get your application in, the better your chances of getting the types of trees you wish.

An Up With Trees representative will contact you upon receipt of your application to confirm the order and arrange for pick-up dates.  We will also offer to deliver trees for a minimum donation.  The tree pickup location is to be determined, please check back for more details.

The trees are free, but we ask that recipients commit to properly planting, watering and caring for them.  If participating agencies do not have someone who knows how to plant and care for trees, we ask that they send a representative to a short class we will provide at no charge.  Please note due to the importance of preserving this program, we may ask for verification of your organization’s non-profit status.

Over a hundred volunteers donated time to unloading 10,000 trees. We got the job done in just a few hours & these troopers stayed till the very end!
