Volunteer
The work we do would not be possible without the generous support of volunteers like you! There are many ways you can help. Come on out and help plant and care for trees, lend a hand in the office, or put your woodworking skills to good use making signs.
The biggest need is for field volunteers. Field volunteers plant trees, mow and edge sites, clean up debris, install signs, etc. Normal field volunteer hours are 6:45 am-2:15 pm Wednesday through Sunday — weather permitting, our crews go out daily year-round except for holidays. Youth as young as 14 can participate with the regular crews. Field volunteers need to be able to perform physical labor and should come dressed appropriately. To volunteer, come to our office at 9920 E. 44th Place by 6:45 am.
You also can join the pruning team, which sets its own hours.
We can set up field volunteer opportunities for groups such as companies, civic clubs or youth groups to get involved.
Experienced woodworkers can help make the Up With Trees signs that mark our sites all over town. Woodworkers typically spend 2-3 hours a couple of times a month working on our shop.
On the administrative side, we are looking for people to help organize files and to write grant requests.
