Sponsor a Site

The gift of trees is a permanent and practical way to recognize a commitment to the community. You can show your support of the urban forest by sponsoring the costs of planting a new site or by “adopting” the maintenance costs for an existing site. Urban forestry sites are typically a minimum of 20 trees, and some larger sites require 30 to 60 trees. Most sites are along highways or streets and feature an Up With Trees wooden sign with the sponsor’s name included. Sites also are available at many City of Tulsa parks – signs on parks include the sponsor’s name but are a different style. Click here for a list of available sites.

Site sponsorship fees cover the cost of the trees, sign, planting, watering, mulching, fertilizing, pruning, and general care of the site, including a guarantee for replacement should a tree die in the first three years.

Sponsorships are good for eight years. After the eight-year period, a sponsor may extend the sponsorship by paying annual maintenance fees, or the sign will be removed and Up With Trees will find another sponsor to underwrite maintenance costs. The “adoption” cost includes a new sponsorship sign, and the new sponsor will receive an eight-year commitment.

Maintenance fees are based on the number of trees at the site at a cost of $25 per tree per year ($500 annually for a 20-tree site; different rates may be negotiated for mass plantings of 40-plus trees).

Signs and sign maintenance will be included in the cost of an initial site sponsorship or adoption, and as long as sponsors are paying the maintenance fees. The frequency of sign maintenance is at the discretion of Up With Trees and will be handled on a best-efforts basis. At the sponsor’s request, signs can be refurbished or upgraded at a cost of $500.

Up With Trees is a 501(c)(3). All sponsorships and other contributions are tax-deductible and go to support the Up With Trees mission of beautifying greater Tulsa by planting trees and increasing urban forestry awareness.

Donors receive no goods or services in exchange for their donations, but signs are used to demonstrate appreciation for the generous contributors who make our work possible. Under no circumstances will a sponsor be given cash back or a refund for a site. Up With Trees is not responsible for site damage or lost trees caused by circumstances outside of its control, such as road construction, natural disasters, traffic accidents, fires, etc.
